- סֶרִיm. (preced. wds.) stench; offense, sin. Cant. R. to I, 12 (expl. נרדי ib., v. נֵרְדְּ) סִירְיִי נתן ריחו my offense (the making of the golden calf) gave forth its odor. Yalk. Ex. 391 (ref. to Cant. l. c.) היה לו לומר נרדי נתן סִירְיוֹ (not שנ׳) it ought to have read, ‘my nard gave forth its stench.
